Теплового шока транскрипционный фактор — ядерный, ДНК-связывающий белок, который специфически взаимодействует с палиндромной последовательностью узнавания (см. Палиндром) в области промотора генов теплового шока и индуцирует их транскрипцию. Т. ш. т. ф. присутствует как в нормальных, так и в подвергнутых тепловому шоку клетках, но активируется только после теплового шока, возможно, путем фосфорилирования.
